Louis has more than 40 years of experience in both the financial management and operations management of privately owned companies, from small to large. His career began with a solid foundation on the audit staff of Price Waterhouse & Co in its Houston office. He worked with various clients in oil and gas, manufacturing, and other related industries. He was part of the three-man team that founded the Small Business department in the Houston office. After five years Louis left Price Waterhouse to work in the family-owned business with his father and brothers.  Since then he has been in an ownership position, serving in various executive level roles with businesses having local, regional and national operations; serving as CEO and CFO / COO. Louis is equally comfortable with the responsibilities and requirements of the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Operations Officer position, which is commonly a combined role in closely held companies. He served a lead role in a number of business startup situations and is familiar with all that is involved to go from an “idea” to a viable business enterprise. He has also been involved in a leadership role of creating and executing ownership succession strategies and in the process of transferring business ownership. His diversified background includes automotive / trucking / transportation, oil and gas, manufacturing / warehousing / distribution, food production / food safety, and financial services.

Over the course of his career Louis has been directly accountable for many different facets of a business including financial management and reporting, human resource management, plant maintenance, production operations, logistics, corporate and employee insurance programs, business strategic planning, creating and maintaining forward-looking financial models, designing management information reports, writing business plans and offering memorandums, creating and implementing employee incentive programs, planning and executing ownership succession strategies, as well as managing systems of internal controls.

Louis earned his B.S. Degree in Accounting at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1971, after graduating from St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas in 1967. Louis is a native Houstonian and has lived in Houston all his life except for time spent in New Orleans from 1989 to 2004.
